Hello! My name is Vanessa. I am the owner, photographer, editor and wearer of all other hats at Vanessa Kay Photography, located in Orange County, CA. At home, I am happily married and mom to four amazing kiddos and 2 amazing horses, 2 golden retrievers and 2 cats. When I’m not busy taking care of my happy little family, I can be found riding my horse into the sunset, whipping up culinary delights for my friends and family, singing in a professional choir, curled up with a good book, playing on Pinterest or hanging out with my friends – many of whom started out as clients of mine! At work – I have been happily photographing weddings, families, pets and people of all ages – from one day old to 98 – since 2003. I am known for my patience and ability to connect with my clients, making portrait sessions fun and enjoyable, as well as going to extra mile to make sure that the end result is even better than what is hoped for. I enjoy creating meaningful artwork and unique heirlooms to be enjoyed now and for generations to come.

Vanessa Kay has been my photographer for over 10 years now and I can truly say she is incredibly talented and a beautiful individual to work with!
She is a professional from start to finnish no matter what type of project. She is easy to communicate with always responding to your messages efficiently and answering all your questions. Her expertise encompasses every aspect of your project: location, outfits, poses, lighting, hair, make up, consistency in branding, etc.
Vanessa goes above and beyond to capture the precise picture that makes your vision come alive. I’ve used Vanessa for both personal and professional shoots. She’s also covered speaking engagements for me capturing excellent action shots.

Vanessa with Vanessa Kay photography is INCREDIBLE! She made myself and my family feel so comfortable during our shoot and really captured us just being us. She was able to capture the perfect outdoor lighting for our beach shoot, funny moments, touching moments, and we were done with the shoot with huge smiles on our faces in probably within an hour. We had TONS of great photos to choose from! She is warm, professional, kind, and creative and SO KNOWLEDGEABLE. I now have a wall of precious memories that came to me professionally wrapped and framed and ready to hang! If you need ANY special moment captured don’t hesitate!
