Hello! I’m Sara, the face behind the camera at SMB Photography. I’m a wife to an amazing guy, and a proud Mom of two.
So why do I do what I do? When my husband and I got married, we knew more children weren’t in the cards for us. We had two amazing kids, who at the time happened to be going through the terrible two’s and the teenage years, so needless to say we had our hands full. I’ve loved babies since I was a child, I had a big family growing up and I always thought I would have more. So when I knew that wasn’t what life had in store for me, my heart longed for a way to be around babies. When I was in high school I wanted to be a pediatric nurse, however after an unfortunate black out incident that went out the window as well. After I got my first DSLR, which I wanted to use to take photos of my kiddos, I discovered I loved photography. The ability to stop time, and relive the moment anytime you want is precious.
Over the last couple of years, my business has moved from specializing in children’s photography to newborns. As much as I love working with children, newborns make my heart happy and full. Every single session is as exciting and fun as the first one was. I cannot tell you the joy it gives me to capture these memories for my clients, and the utter gratitude I feel for being the person they trust with these precious, tiny babies.
