Kelly Martin Photography

My name is Kelly Martin, owner and operator of Kelly Martin Photography. I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana, attended Ball State University, and moved to Indianapolis after graduation to work in the world of public accounting. I met my husband on a cruise to the Western Caribbean (he’s from Indianapolis too – crazy story) and we have since added to our family with our two silly boys, Louis and Nicholas and our beautiful (and fiesty) daughter Eden. My love for photography began when I was young and took photography as a project for several years in 4-H. Motherhood has allowed me to be the photographer I want to be – I could never do this job without my children as they have instilled in me the patience and the know-how to deal with my kid clients. I relate. I understand. Most importantly, I have fun with them.
During each session I strive to get a variety of shots. I love shooting at different angles and capturing details – your daughter’s curls – your toddler’s long eyelashes – your baby’s tiny toes. I also love when my clients want to get creative. I believe the best photographs evoke some type of emotion and tell a story. With that said, I create an environment where everyone feels comfortable and is able to express themselves.
