Hi, I’m James, father to an amazing little girl, Sophia, and husband to my wonderful wife, Thuy. After becoming one of the premier family photographers in the San Francisco Bay Area, my family relocated in 2017 to Snoqualmie, WA in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Having grown up near Seattle, returning to this beautiful place full of trees, mountains, valleys, lakes, and rivers feels like I’ve returned home.

After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in Biological Sciences, I decided to switch gears and follow my true creative passion. Now I feel blessed to be able to capture some of the most joyful, meaningful times in people’s lives for a living!

I’m very passionate about documenting life with my camera in an authentic, timeless, and artistic way, especially when it comes to photographing those moments in life that sometimes bring a tear to your eye. I love capturing emotion and the connections you have with those you hold dearest in life. There really is nothing quite like the storytelling power of a photograph and I believe there is something uniquely epic in every couple and every family that is waiting to be captured. Using natural light, breathtaking locations, and my own unique style of natural, emotive posing, I’ll beautifully show your connections to the ones you love to create something that is heartfelt, emotional, inspirational, and real.
