Esther Miao Photography

Esther Miao is an award-winning and internationally published photographer/videographer located in the LA and Orange County areas of Southern California. Esther worked as an educator for over 8 years before leaving to pursue her passion for photography in 2014.

In her early work as a photographer, Esther began to take on a keen interest in fashion photography—which led her to become a certified makeup artist through the makeup academy run by April Love. Esther then worked in the fashion industry as a lead makeup artist for events such as LA Fashion Week, PHAME, and IMATS. Her makeup work has been shared on Buzzfeed as well as by Mama Makeup—the makeup artist who created the famous Jon Bovi-inspired makeup look in Lady Gaga’s Poker Face music video. Esther has also worked with Nikon Ambassador Jerry Ghionis doing makeup and hair for his fashion shoots at For The Stars Fashion House.

Esther’s experiences in various aspects of the industry has allowed her to take on a more multi-faceted approach in her own photography work. Esther’s styling combined with her knowledge and passion for the fashion industry has allowed her to establish herself as one of the most highly sought after photographers for luxury children’s clothing brands. She has worked with many of the leading luxury couture children’s fashion brands such as Itty Bitty Toes, Dollcake Vintage, and The Carriage House.
