I’m a licensed portrait photographer based in Ada, MI (a suburb of Grand Rapids in West Michigan) specializing in newborn, children and family photography. Being both a mom to three kids and a former elementary teacher gives me a lot of experience and patience working with little ones. I have a simple, classic and relaxed style to create images that focus on your family members and their unique relationships. My home is abundantly decorated with photos of my family, and I want to help others surround themselves with beautiful images of their own families.

Erin did an amazing job with my baby. We were late to the game with booking newborn photos, but Erin was not only able to accommodate us in her schedule, she did so well with keeping my 2.5 month old, refluxy baby calm to get some amazing photos. Before booking with Erin, we had debated whether we should even do the newborn photos since she was already past two months. I can say now that we are really grateful and happy that we did. Erin not only captured those early newborn type of poses, but some adorable facial expressions that we wouldn’t have gotten if we had done them earlier. We loved the clean and classic look of the photos, as well, and she was so accommodating with some nitpicky edits that I asked her to make on the finished photos. I highly recommend Erin!
Erin had fun and creative ideas for our photos. She took pictures of our daughter on her first birthday. With that being said, kiddos at that age aren’t always the most cooperative. Erin had wonderful tricks up her sleeve to help capture adorable moments on camera. She also took some sibling and family photos. We are NOT a very photogenic family, but she was able to take beautiful photographs of our family. Erin is an amazing photographer with competitive prices. I highly recommend this business!
Erin photographed our engagement photos. The pictures were amazing. You’d never know that it was pouring rain the whole time (we did not attempt to reschedule due to our tight schedules although I’m sure erin would have accommodated). The photos turned out bright and beautiful regardless!
Erin Massie has been taking our family pictures for many years now. She always does an amazing job. She is so patient when my two little boys act like two little boys.
I have worked with Erin for my first baby’s one year pictures, my twins fresh 48 and newborn pictures, and several years worth of fall family photos including one mega/extended family. We ended up with such amazing pictures every time! she is so friendly, patient, helpful, and interacts great with kids to get them to cooperate. She has so many cute props and varieties of backgrounds and floorings for different looks. We will definitely continue working with her for future occasions!
