8.08 Photography

Jacksonville Newborn Photographer. In 2001 I received a Master’s Degree in occupational therapy. I spent 17 years working as a pediatric occupational therapist. During that time, I was able to teach parents how to safely handle the most fragile of babies and to facilitate development in children with a variety of special needs.

My daughter was born in August 2008 (8.08). A few years later our family added a little boy with a head full of curly hair and the most beautiful big brown eyes you’ve ever seen. I got my first real camera the day my daughter was born, and I quickly fell in love with photography. I wanted to remember absolutely everything about these two little people.

Over the years photography has truly become therapy for me. As most any mom will tell you, parenthood isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s overwhelming, exhausting, frustrating and scary. In the midst of all of the craziness, photography helps me to focus on the beauty of parenting and childhood.

These photos force me to look at their innocence and focus on the pure absolute beauty of childhood. That’s what I love doing for my clients as well.
