Hi! My name is Lois and I’m a senior photographer in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Ever since I discovered the work of Margaret Bourke-White and Dorothea Lange, both Depression-era photographers, I’ve been fascinated with the medium. I’ve always found photos to be among the most interesting of keepsakes because a moment in time is visually captured for future generations. Moments in photographs can never be truly be recreated because they are as fleeting as time itself. Photography is capturing lightning in a bottle.
I specialize in senior photography because I love working with this age group. Seniors are in one of the biggest transitions of their lives – going from a child to an adult. My goal with senior photography is to allow the kids themselves to dictate who they are and what they want to show the world. At this unique time in their lives, they are discovering the thrill and responsibility of the larger world. Through my lens, I capture how they see themselves. Seniors are also just fun to photograph!
High school students are intelligent, fun and kind people. I think my respect for them shows itself through our pre-shoot consultations, the shoot day and the ordering session as I take their opinions and thoughts seriously. I schedule one client per day so I can spend as much time with clients as needed. My pricing is structured so all families have a chance to capture this special time in their seniors’ lives.
